Terms and Conditions for Academic Coaching Sessions
I have read, understood, and agree to abide by the terms and Conditions below.
FEES
Invoices will be provided at the start of the term.
- Mode of Payment: Internet banking via Sagicor to Spark Education Limited. Credit card payment is accepted via Stripe.
- Payment Options: Payments are made on demand, either monthly or quarterly, depending on the package selected. Full payment is required at the beginning of the term for quarterly packages, while monthly payments are due at the beginning of each month.
- Fees include: Strategy and Planning Sessions, Individual Coaching Sessions, regular communication with parents, and written progress reports.
- Additional costs: Resources, meetings with the school teacher or other professionals, and supplementary learning activities, such as web-based programs, will be added to your invoice if requested. (This does not apply if these items were included in your initial quote.)
Spark Education Limited reserves the right to change the prices of its services. Existing clients will be notified in advance if such changes occur.
SESSION DATES
- The dates and commitments of each client vary, and they will be determined during the Initial Discovery Call or via the Booking Link.
NOTIFICATION OF STOPPING SERVICES
- If you wish to discontinue the sessions, a minimum of 2 weeks written notice will be given.
- Spark Education reserves the right to decline, suspend, or terminate your sessions in severe circumstances.
SICKNESS / CANCELLATIONS / SCHOOL CAMP ATTENDANCE
- Due to fixed costs, sessions missed by the student will not be credited or refunded, regardless of the reason, including repeat illness, school trips, camps, and vacations. However, if the coach is informed at least one week in advance, they may, at their discretion, offer a make-up session where possible.
- If your coach is absent for a session that has been paid for in full, a make-up session will be provided.
- If your session falls on a public holiday, Spark Education will provide a make-up session.
PARENT COMMITMENT
It is the responsibility of all clients to:
- Provide all relevant and most recent personal records, reports, behavioral, and other pertinent information related to their education or development.
- Facilitate clear communication between their coach and any relevant parties, such as school teachers or other professionals.
- Ensure all required documentation is promptly signed and returned as requested.
- Make timely payments by the due date as specified in the invoice.
- Notify the appropriate school personnel of their attendance at Spark Education sessions.
- Ensure punctuality for drop-off and pick-up of themselves or their child for in-person sessions, or attendance at scheduled Zoom sessions.
- Ensure that all necessary items are brought to sessions, whether in-person or virtual.
- Monitor and review any assigned work or tasks regularly, providing necessary feedback or signatures as required.
- Complete any assigned homework or tasks to the best of their ability.
- Inform the coach of any arrangements regarding drop-off and pick-up for sessions, as applicable.

Confidentiality: Spark Education staff will only discuss you or your child with their school or any other third party without your explicit consent. In shared parenting or guardianship situations, information will only be disclosed to the enrolling parent unless permission is granted to share it with the other parent or caregiver.
Photography and Video Footage: Spark Education reserves the right to capture photos and videos of individuals and groups during sessions. For persons under 18, parental permission will be obtained for the reasonable use of this material for promotional and training purposes on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and our website.
Data Collection: Spark Education Ltd. may collect data related to academic progress and achievement, utilizing this information for publications and marketing purposes. No real names will be disclosed in any public forums where progress and achievement are shared.
Child Care and Protection Act: Spark Education Limited adheres to the necessary procedures outlined in the Child Care and Protection Act (CCPA) of Jamaica to ensure the suitability of all coaches as children’s workers. Coaches undergo necessary checks, including Police Records, to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in our care.
